Day 22

Weight: 1010 grams or 2 pounds 4 oz. Yesterday she was 970 grams. Birth weight 950 grams
Eating: 18 ml every 3 hours which is a 1:1 ratio of breastmilk and high calorie formula. The donor milk bank is out of breast milk. Can you believe that?  All you moms out there that can pump breast milk with ease should look into selling it. It seriously is liquid gold.
Breathing: Bubble CPAP. Her nares are pink so she is going to switch to a biphasic CPAP so she can alternate between prongs and a mask every 3 hours
Apnea spells: none over the past 24 hours

She has long feet and fingers. She has dark black hair. She is opening her eyes more and although I know she cannot see distances, I feel she knows who she is looking at. She will let out little silent cries that make me both happy to hear her but also cry a little because I cannot console her or hold her at will. Her tiny little bottom is smaller than my hand when I hold her. She is more precious every day.
